On Sunday 22 February, Teatro alla Scala was featured in Miami at an event organised in collaboration with the Teatro alla Scala Association of America, which supports the Theatre’s mission as a cultural ambassador between Italy and the United States.

Speakers included President Milena Adamian Sheynkman, Board Director Julia Steyn, Superintendent and Artistic Director Fortunato Ortombina, and Artistic Coordinator Paolo Gavazzeni. The programme brought together opera and ballet, with soprano Aigerim Altynbek, a student of the Accademia, and our dancers Nicoletta Manni and Timofej Andrijashenko.

The event was part of a wider programme of initiatives across the United States, with additional stops in New York, Washington and Los Angeles.
